Medical Aesthetics and COVID-19: What You Should Know

The novel coronavirus pandemic has required health care providers to put elective procedures on hold temporarily. Now, as stay-at-home orders are lifted, medical practices are once again providing a full range of treatments and procedures for patients.

Here at Advanced Practice Medical Aesthetics in Centennial, Colorado, certified family nurse practitioner Patty Stewart wants you to know that she’s taking steps to ensure your safety while you receive medical aesthetic care in our office.

Using guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Medical Association, Patty is providing the highest quality care in an environment you can trust. Read on to discover some of the precautions we have in place to protect you.

Protection for you and our staff

Because many medical aesthetic treatments involve the face, Patty recognizes the need for the highest level of caution to prevent transmission of the coronavirus through speaking, sneezing, and coughing.

We follow all recommended mask and glove protocols with a focus on patient and provider safety. We’ve taken steps to make sure you can maintain a safe 6-foot distance from other patients, and our office procedures regulate contact with office staff. Please follow all posted guidelines when you visit and remember that safety is our top priority.

Checking on you

Before you enter our office, we pre-screen for symptoms indicative of COVID-19. If we suspect that you may have COVID-19, we recommend that you follow up with your primary care provider. Our aim is to protect you, our staff, and our other patients.

Disinfecting our office

As a medical office, we’ve always followed a rigorous cleaning and sanitizing routine. But with the risk of this novel coronavirus transmission, we have intensified our cleaning efforts and are following a strict disinfectant protocol.

After each patient receives care, we perform extensive sanitizing with virus-killing disinfectants to make sure our treatment areas are ready for the next patient.
